We recognize the importance of privacy to visitors to any Cincinnati Public Radio website, and are especially cognizant of the importance of privacy for children. We want every user (you) to know how we both protect children and adults when you visit our websites. The Cincinnati Public Radio Privacy Policy explains what type of information is collected from you when you visit this and other CPR websites, and how we may use that information.

Classics For Kids adheres to the Cincinnati Public Radio Privacy Policy, with these additions:

1. How we protect the privacy of children

  • We will not collect personally identifiable information from any child under the age of 18. If we know that your child is under the age of thirteen, we will collect your permission, by email, before we take any action such as mail any prizes or respond. If your child sends us an e-mail with a question or comment, or contacts us for any other reason, such as entering a contest or answering a survey, we will collect your permission by email before taking any action such as mail any prizes or respond. The email will not be stored for future communications or shared with anyone else.
  • If your child submits stories, artwork, comments or anything else to us which is posted at our site, he or she will be identified only by first name, initial of last name, and grade.

2. Parents can be assured that:

  • Cincinnati Public Radio will not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity
  • Any information collected from a child can be reviewed by the parent and you can refuse to allow any further collection or use of your child’s information
  • You can direct Cincinnati Public Radio to delete any information collected from a child.
