Peanut Butter & Jam Sessions

Music Making with Madcap - The Story of the Ugly Duckling The clarinet, cello, piano and Madcap Puppets tell the story of The Ugly Duckling through the music of Beethoven! Don't miss the music, storytelling, and warm and fuzzy fun! P>These interactive, hands-on concerts provide children, ages 2-6, and their families the opportunity to enjoy classical music together.

Family Day at the National Museum of the US Air Force
Date: Saturday, April 11, 2015  - Saturday, April 11, 2015
Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Kite Tales - Welcome spring with kite stories, kite building and kite flying during Family Day at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

Designed for children and adults of all ages, Family Day offers several hands-on opportunities for all to enjoy.

Demonstration stations throughout the day will teach visitors about the types of kites and the properties of air and flying.

"Storytime" begins at 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. in the Early Years Gallery. Preschool and primary-grade children are invited to sit under the wings of airplanes to hear stories about kites and do a craft project.

Participants can make their own kites during this month's Aerospace Adventure from 1:30-3 p.m. in the event area next to the Korean War Gallery. Paper kites are free, but there is a $2.50 charge for plastic sled kites. Outdoor kite flying will be available (weather permitting).
