Time: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Global Reach - Visitors will learn about "global reach" aircraft and the work that they do, including transporting people and supplies around the world.

Hands-on activities and demonstration stations will show visitors how aircraft are able to lift large and heavy loads, how aircraft are refueled for long distance travel, and how cargo can be dropped from a plane and delivered where needed -- especially for humanitarian purposes.

Visitors also will have the opportunity to try to drop their "cargo" into the drop zone from a model aircraft as it moves over the target. And from 1:30-3 p.m., participants will learn about the famous Berlin Candy Bomber as they make a paper parachute of their own.

Pilot and navigator Don Meyer will give a free presentation on aerial refueling at 2 p.m. in Carney Auditorium. He will explain the past, present and future of the incredible innovation and technology that make global reach a reality.

The event is free, and visitors of all ages may participate in these aviation-related activities located throughout the museum galleries.

Address: 1100 Spaatz Street
